Our story
We started The Beating Path because we believe everyone deserves to know how to save a life
We're a Virginia-based CPR and First Aid training center built on one simple idea: life-saving skills should be accessible, approachable, and taught by people who genuinely care.
Our mission
Too many people freeze in an emergency because they've never been taught what to do. We're here to change that — one class at a time. We keep our classes small, our instructors caring, and our environment welcoming, because learning to save a life shouldn't feel like a test you might fail.
Accessible
We offer flexible scheduling, affordable pricing, and a judgment-free environment so anyone can get certified.
Hands-on
Every class is built around practice, not lectures. You leave with muscle memory, not just a card.
Community-rooted
We train the people in your neighborhood — parents, teachers, coaches, and coworkers — because emergencies don't wait.
Meet your instructors
Our instructors are certified through AHA, American Red Cross, and HSI — and bring real-world experience to every class.

ARC
American Red Cross
Trusted for over a century, Red Cross certifications are widely accepted across healthcare, childcare, and workplace settings.
